BCBA® Mandatory Disciplinary Mentorship
Fulfill the disciplinary mandatory mentorship requirements by the board
Service Description
Being reported to the board and receiving that Disciplinary Determination from the board is one of a BCBA's scariest nightmares, and I am here to make this process as smooth as possible for you! First is First!- Your initial consultation is to review all the necessary documents the board requires you to submit to your mentor: 1. Notice of Alleged Violation and supporting documentation 2. The response from the Subject (you) 3. The Disciplinary (and Appeal, if applicable) Determination. After these are reviewed, a plan is developed for you to determine if we are a good match for your mentorship journey. Your session ends with a resource pertaining to violations discussed. Upon agreement to continue with mentorship, a tailored mentorship contract and a rubric are then developed. Mentorship can only begin once the contract is signed by both parties. What's Next?- Your mentorship will be designed to not only fulfill the board's requirements, but to reflect on interpersonal skills and the natural contingencies and barriers that led you to this point as well as preventative strategies. We will assess your unique circumstances and skills to develop systems to practice each required skill. Buckle up because self-reflection is a therapeutic experience you can't miss out on as a BCBA! * Areas of expertise include violation in billing processes, BCBA/RBT supervision requirements, violations in proper case transference and continuation of services, violation codes pertaining to being truthful, accountability, data collection, and client confidentiality.
